Scholars you should know

Neil Postman (March 8, 1931 - October 5, 2003) was an Author, media theorist, and cultural critic who is best known for his book Amusing Ourselves to Death which came out in 1985 dealing with America's obsession with television. Postman graduated from State University of New York at Fedonia and later earned his masters degree  and Ed.D from Columbia University. Neil Postman was a leading scholar and educator at New York University and contributed a great deal to the field of media ecology. Postman wrote eighteen books and more than 200 magazine and newspaper articles for many of the top periodicals such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.
