Although many Americans are already using social networking websites, they aren't using them for all they are worth. Many of us use these social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter strictly for entertainment purposes instead of using them in a professional manner. It seems as if we use them to keep in touch with old friends and even meeting new friends with similar interests which is ok, but our society is underestimating the power this technology has created for us. Now sure it is fun to keep in touch with friends but just think about the free marketing social networking websites have created. Now anyone can have their own website for free and they can use it to showcase their skills and talents to impress prospective companies/ interested customers. Its time we think about how we use our technology and realize the untapped potential they offer.
